Browns' Roye to have surgery on re-injured knee

Roye will have cartilage cleaned from the same knee that required surgery last December. The 6-foot-4, 330-pound veteran will likely miss the rest of training camp and the preseason, but hopes to return for the Browns' September 9 regular season opener against Pittsburgh.

He received a contract extension from Cleveland following the 2005 season, after he led the team with twelve quarterback pressures and tied for third with three sacks.
